Restoration of Peace and Light, MANNAM Festival of Victory - Korean traditional culture experience

As a member of MANNAM International, we luckily have loads of chances to experience Korean traditional culture. MANNAM volunteer association holds global festivals every years. MANNAM's events shows everyone the mindset of the volunteer association which reveals love for the citizens and the country. Not only that, the Liberation festival, it celebrates the independence that links to unification which hopefully will spread to the divided nations around the world that everyone might see peace through the light. In results, this global festival is one example of that light.

On the day of the 15th of August, the 66th celebration of the Korean independence, commemorated the true meaning of liberation and the hope for world peace. MANNAM was accompanied by Ambassadors and distinguished guests from various countries who participated in the Yongsan War Memorial based festivities.

The title 'MANNAM to the world, the world to MANNAM - Restoration of peace and Light, Festival of Victory' is the core base of this festival's theme. Performances with various shows, Korean traditional culture, and the world's unique heritage performances were started off the entire along with exhibition booths.

In this year, MANNAM will hold meaningful global festivals again and offer various programs includes culture experiences, sports and unique performances. The schedules of MANNAM festivals can be found on its website. www.mannamintl.org/

[MANNAM volunteer] free rice to feed African children

During the cold winter, MANNAM Busan International had fund raising activities for African children to share our warm heart.

In spite of biting wind outside, many international members of MANNAM managed the fund raising and donation events in the town of Busan.

Many thanks to all of our friends!

Remember Victory Cup 2012' with MANNAM Busan International!!

Sept ~ Oct 2012,
The 1st Victory Cup soccer tournament was held with MANNAM International!!

More than 400 players and almost 100 volunteers enjoyed the shiny day of Victory Cup in 2012.

We all participated the soccer tournament not only to win, but spread as a light to give our love.

Although we were all from different culture, language, background,

we were able to become friends within MANNAM International.

Do you remember MANNAM world peace festival?

Do you remember the biggest sports event in 2012? London Olympic? Yes!!

But there was another one in South Korea. It was MANNAM World Peace Festival!! 

September 16, 2012
There was an unforgettable festival held in Seoul, Jam-sil Olympic stadium.

 

More than 100,000 people were together, amazing mass game, paraders from all over the world, dancing, singing, sports games, exiting cheer leading, everything made me very proud that I am a member of MANNAM International volunteer association.

As a part of this great festival, The 1st Victory Cup opening ceremony was held. I and my friends (international soccer teams) were very happy to participate this moment. We became One. We felt everyone was our friend, everyone was our family regardless of our ability, race, religion.
It would be one of the most unforgettable memory in my life!!

2013 March,
The Victory Cup is held again. I cannot wait to meet all of my MANNAM friends who love sports. I am sure it will be challenging and fun. Let us make MANNAM history together!!
